Kissing Nevus

  • Developed in-utero, before the eyelid fissure was formed.
  • Clinical features:
    • Symptoms: asymptomatic.
    • Signs:
      • Congenital pigmented lesions that are located in an apposed area on both upper and lower lid
      • The lesion may be flat, nodular, verrucous or hairy
  • May undergo malignant transformation.
  • Management:
    • Observation and photographic follow-up for evidence of size or morphological changes.
    • Consider surgical removal when malignant transformation is suspected.
